It is specifically designed to prevent the reverse flow of polluted water from entering into the potable water supply due to back-siphonage and/or backpressure.
• COMPREHENSIVE FEATURES: This assembly is constructed with a highly durable bronze body, ensuring long-lasting performance. It is equipped with a silicone rubber check valve disc, plastic check valve seat, female NPT inlet and outlet with quarter turn shutoffs, stainless steel springs, a bonnet with silicone rubber O-ring seal, a lightweight plastic disc float, a built-in relief valve to protect from freezing, tee handle shutoffs, and test cocks for winterization draining.
• VERSATILE APPLICATIONS: With internal parts that are serviceable in-line from the top of the unit for easy maintenance, this assembly is ideal in continuous pressure applications such as irrigation systems and industrial process water systems where water enters the equipment at or below its flood rim, as well as in hospitals, morgues, mortuaries, chemical plants, boiler feeds, water lines, and other key systems.
• FREEZE SENSOR: Includes a freeze sensor compatible with SentryPlus Alert technology, signaling facility personnel when temperatures near and reach freezing point. An optional freeze sensor connection kit is available to activate a monitoring system for low and freezing temperatures.
